About Me

I am originally from Detroit, but moved to Cleveland to go to the Cleveland Institute of Art where I will graduate in May of 2023 with a BFA in Interior Architecture. I am currently looking for career opportunities in the greater Chicago area.
I am interested in environmental branding, hospitality, retail and exhibition design.
The approach to all my design work has sustainability in mind. Green materials and sourcing secondhand products & furniture are ways that I can make my designs more eco-friendly. Every design decision I make is fully thought through from the function to the small details.
I have completed almost 2 years of work experience through internships. The summer of junior year of high school I interned at McIntosh Poris. During my time with this firm, I helped to organize the office and select furniture. After this experience, I knew I had to pursue a career in interior design.
During the summer prior to my senior year of college, I interned full-time at ROSSETTI in downtown Detroit, with their focus being on sports and entertainment design. I worked primarily in a smaller studio inside the firm called Holly Jonsson Studio with the emphasis on residential and private clubs. One of the main projects I worked on was for a bowling alley for a prominent private club where I helped with FF&E. I attended their sustainability meetings weekly, to learn about Cradle to Cradle and LEED statuses on their current projects.
Throughout my senior year, I have been interning at Vocon in Cleveland. I work 20 hours a week, while maintaining a full 15 credit class schedule. This experience has been crucial for building my technical design skills. While at Vocon, I have learned Revit and have advanced my skills in Autocad. One of the key initiatives I have worked on is constructing standards documents for corporate office design. It has been an incredible experience to work at a top architectural firm in Northeast Ohio.
I have a great interest in fiber arts and textile design, as well. The small business I operate, Junkchain Co is where I sell my fiber & textile creations with a sustainability focus.
My strong work ethic and will to succeed in everything I do, makes me an ideal candidate for any position. I am looking forward to my next endeavors as an interior designer.
